It has been weeks since I have left the scene but it is great to be back. Sorry for the absence readers. There are lot of films I want to talk about in the next couple of days. So let us see how this goes.

Here is a new film directed by debut filmmaker Justin Kurzel. It blew the people at the Sight and Sound magazine. I have also missed out on reading the book. It recounts the true and horrifying crimes uncovered in 1999 in a titular city in Australia.

The story centres on a teenager who falls under the spell and care of a seemingly ordinary neighbour, John, but what emerges is relationship so twisted, it is at times hard to stomach. The film has its shares of twists that will surely hit you unawares. The film is expected to hit theatres this weekend via IFC Midnight.

John

John has a keen sense of what ticks in the world of film. He can also be seen in three distinct short film titled Woken Shell, The Tea Shop in the Moon and The Waiting. Cinema has been the basic diet he has been on for the last 10 years. His personality can be judged by the choices of his films.
