Scott Rudin buys the right to Freedom

Scott Rudin gets the rights of the new book by Jonathan Franzen.

Scott Rudin has got the rights to another great book to destroy. He is famous for his hunger for Oscars and all the jazz. But he seems to make Hollywood a little too formulaic. He has now picked up a book, which should be left as a book Freedom. It was written by the great Jonathan Franzen.
It is the latest book written by the author. It took him another ten years to write this book after the success of his last book called The Corrections. Freedom tells the story of Patty and Walter Berglund, socially conscious college sweethearts, who lose each other and their own moral compasses over the years to temptations both corporate and carnal. There is no official statement on, which studio will take up this project.

The new book is expected to hit stores on August 31 st.
