Now the producers who have their hands on Atlas Shrugged are planning to take the film and turn into a 4 part miniseries. John Agialoro has gotten tired of waiting for this film to materialize. He will be financing and beginning the production for the 4 part miniseries from June 11 th onwards.

Though the years the project has attracted a lot of talent including Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie. But will we get to see the two of them in the small screen is the question. It is not highly likely.

The project has been scripted already by Brian O’Toole. The film is set to be directed by Stephen Polk who is pretending he never directed anything before this. Now there have been offers for the lead role to both Charlize Theron and Maggie Gyllenhaal to play Dagny Taggart but not sure if they will come on board.

Polk gives us an idea on how he will direct this film. “For more than 15 years, this has been at studios and there has been a whole dance around who’ll play the iconic roles. Making it an independent film was the game-changer. Everybody is saying, how can you shoot this movie without a star? We’re shooting it because it’s a good movie with great characters. We’ve been in pre-production for months, but kept it a mystery. Part of the reason is because there’s so much crap about how you need a great big budget and stars. We aren’t looking for big names to trigger press or financing.”

Now the two of these people will face an impossible task if they don’t have the star power to pull this off. It might end up being a really sorry affair one that will be missed in the milieu of Hollywood films.
