After her turn in the lousy Losers she will now taken on another Action avatar. She already has two big hits in Star Trek and Avatar. She has the looks and the physique to take her through even the lean years. She might turn into another Angelina Jolie.
Zoe Saldana has already been cast in a host of action films to fill the space of Angelina Jolie. So Hollywood is really hungry for a female action star. Saldana looks like the only choice in the host of action stars.
Zoe is already in negotiations to star as an assassin in Columbiana. It is a drama produced by Luc Besson but the director is still not finalized. Luc Besson is known for his films like Leon and La Femme Nikita. It might turn into a young filmmaker’s platform.
But these films have a hit or miss quality. For instance Taken was a massive hit while From Paris with Love was a total washout. Columbiana is set in Latin America and centers on a young woman who witnesses her parents brutal murder as a child in Bogota and then grows up to be a ruthless assassin. It will be directed by the guy behind the horrible Transporter 3. Besson has written the film along with Mark Kamen. The shooting for the film will start in summer.
