Mark Wahlberg cast as an angry Teddy Bear

Mark Wahlberg will be taking a hard sell movie called Ted.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is making his directorial debut with Ted. It is going to be a hard R Teddy Bear film. It will be about a Teddy Bear that comes to life and turns out to be a partying, womanizing, video game playing pot smoker.

Wahlberg will be taking the lead in the film. The final negotiations for the film are still going on and it will be done by the end of this week.

Wahlberg will play an average Boston guy, normal except for the childhood wish he made that his teddy bear could come to life and it did. Years later, the boy is an adult, and the bear is still his best friend. But the bear, a carousing, irresponsible slacker, is getting in the way of his buddy committing to adulthood and the girl he loves.

The film will be entirely in live action with the exception of the bear, which will be created with CG, and voiced by MacFarlane himself. The script was co wrote with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, two of Family Guy writing staff. This will be something to check out in the next couple of weeks.
