Marc Foster to look into Heretics

The American Life has influence lots of stories in the last couple of years. Here is another influence.

The American Life has been an inspiration for many screenwriters. Now it has also influenced Marc Foster to make a film called Heretics from Marcus Hinchey’s screenplay. The film will be based on an American Life episode of the same name.

It tells the story of Carlton Pearson who was a rising star among evangelicals until he was ostracized by his own church and declared a heretic after he started preaching that there is no Hell. Marc Foster will be co producing the project and may even direct the film.

Ira Glass will be co producing the film.

The film tells a story about evangelical Christians from their perspective, not from outside. And at its heart, it is a classic old fashioned movie plot: a man who stands up for what he believes and loses everything because of it.

This will be something to look at parallel for Marc Foster.
