Jackie Earle Haley seems to be getting the roles of a lifetime at this time of his career.

Jackie Earle Haley joins the cast of Lincoln and this is going to be really big. The actor will be the latest addition to the terrific cast to hop on board the Abraham Lincoln biopic. Haley will play Vice President of the Confideracy Alexander Stephens, who in 1861 proclaimed, “Our new Government is founded upon exactly the oppsite ideas; its foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, his natural and normal condition.

The rest of the cast includes Daniel Day Lewis, Sally Field, Joseph Gordon Levitt, David Strathairn, Tommy Lee Jones, John Hawkes, Tim Blake Nelson and Lee Pace. Lincoln will focus on the last four months of Lincoln’s life and Spielberg plans to release the film in 2012 after the Presidential election.
