Warner Bros are not wasting time on the Green Lantern. They are planning to get the sequel scripted as soon as possible. The film will be scripted by Michael Goldenberg. The first film will be expected to hit theaters next year. They have already hired the man behind Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix.
Goldenberg performed a rewrite on the script for Green Lantern, which just wrapped shooting in Louisiana with Martin Campbell directing. Ryan Reynolds plays the title character of the film.
Green Lantern 2 is one of the first DC Comic properties to move forward even before the previous has even come out. So this will be great news for the fans of the series. But we are still disappointed to see Ryan Reynolds playing the main character.
