Just today we had reported Marcia Gay Harden was part of the cast for Detachment. Now we have Adrien Brody also headlining for a role in the film.
Brody will now star opposite Christina Hendricks, Blythe Danner and James Caan in the film. It shows us three weeks in the lives of high school teachers, administrators and students through the eyes of substitute teacher Henry Barthes, played by Brody. Tony Kaye will be directing the film. It is right now shooting in Queens and Long Island.
It explores the modern state of human conditions through the eyes of teachers and students at a failing high school. Harden plays the principal, who is on the chopping block after the school’s poor state exam performances.
