Dogtooth was first screened at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. It has already got the fancy of many bloggers out there. But it is sure going to be one of the few rare pieces of this year. It is only the second film by the Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos.
The film portrays the life of a deranged family totally cut off from the outside world. They seem to play some dangerous with their three children. So the only person they come in contact is one of the father’s associates. It does take its time to grow on you. But it is a very special film.
