John Hillcoat will take on The Revenant

Christian Bale succumbs to the Road.

It was difficult to take your eyes of a movie so beautifully done like The Road. There were several people who missed out on what it signified. The book from which it was adapted was truly unfilmable. But John Hillcoat showed so much courage to take a project of such magnitude and treated it with a lot of character. What he has achieved gave us a picture of how limited this medium yet so challenging.

Now Mark L. Smith has revealed that the director is attached to direct his period revenge actioner The Revenant with Christian Bale in talks to lead. The book is a perfect outlet for John Hillcoat to sharpen his tools of filmmaking once again. He seems to be fearless in what he is doing even after two difficult films behind him.

So the film in question will probably base on the book by Michael Punke. As for the actor to star in the film Christian Bale will be taking it up. It will be good to see him on his own. He really needs to fill the universe of his surrounding if Christian Bale needs to work for the film. He will be part of the cast of Terrence Malick’s next film with Javier Bardem, Olga Kurylenko and Rachel McAdams. Christian Bale will also join Batman for the third time.
