Gattaca is all set to go to the TV

Gattaca going to be adapted into a CSI type series.

Gattaca is easily the greatest science fiction movies of all time. Now Apostle films has bought the rights to this film so that they can adapt it for the small screen. Apostle Films were into the creation of the HBO series Rescue Me. So the Gattaca series will be a futuristic police procedural drama.

The main character will be Gill Grant who will be a 24 style guy. I’m not really interested in the way this is playing out at the moment.

The world of Gattaca is dystopian slurry of activity not just a cop world. This will really defeat its purpose. I just hope the show cancelled as soon as it starts. It is world where police seek out invalids and enforce a really bleak sort of discrimination based on genetics.

This seems to be one which might just see the light of a pilot but after that it is upto the audience to decide.
