Now the news is just in and it is time to open the bottles. Johnny Depp has just unveiled the production of the next Pirates movie. This comes after months of speculation of whether he would return to this movie. A character that is sort of created a revolution around the world. Johnny Depp who plays Jack Sparrow in the Pirates series will reprise his role once again. This was amidst other news of Miley Cyrus, John Trovolta, Tim Burton and Nicolas Cage (aw damn) all to join the bandwagon of Disney.
But there also seems to be dispute regarding the name of the film. The next will be called Pirates of The Carri bean: On Strange Tides. Johnny Depp discussed the appearance of the name on a particular book. So the book stores will be filled with people who will jump on to this one.The story will start off where the previous one left off.
It is sort of welcome relief for Disney. But Johnny had also given news that he might also star in The Lone Ranger. But this is after speculations rife that George was interested in taking up the role. Dick Cook chairman of Walt Disney Studios also jumped around during the press conference and told to huge audience that Depp will be playing the character from the TV series.
So this will be page in our diaries to mark. The film will be released in the 2011 summer. I just can’t wait for this.
