Ben Affleck has been riding on the success of his last two directorial ventures. He will not be sitting on his laurels and will be making another drama called Replay. It will be based on the novel about “a 43 year old radio journalist who dies, wakes up in his 18 year old body, and gets to relive his life over and over, getting the opportunity to take roads he passed up the first time around.
He turned down an opportunity to direct Superman and will concentrate on some meaningful pieces. He is looking out for more character driven pieces. He is also looking at possibly directing The Trade. This film is about 1973 wife swapping Yankees pitchers Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekrich. Affleck is choosing between this project and Replay. So we will have to wait and see what he finally chooses.
