Trailer Watch: Mary Louis Parker in Red

Helen Mirren packs some guns for Red.

This was one of the most anticipated action film graphic novel adaptations of this year. The film Red is directed by the guy behind films like flightplan and The Time Traveler’s Wife. Those were really sad to say the least. But the look of this one with a star cast like this has really pushed the expectation of most people to the roof.

The film stars veterans like John Malkovich who has really got a second wind with films like Disgrace and Burn After Reading. Then there is the lady who I have a really soft spot for Mary Louis Parker. Her turn as Nancy Botwin in Weeds has got her loads of fans.

The film also has Helen Mirren holding a gun to make matters worse. It has also boring old man Morgan Freeman part of the cast. Here is a small plot synopsis which will surely make you hungry for more.

Frank, Joe, Marvin, and Victoria used to be the CIA’s top agents — but the secrets they know just made them the Agency’s top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.

The film will open on October 15 th.
