Paul Thomas Anderson to team up with Philip Seymour

Paul Thomas Anderson and Philip Seymour team up once again. Lets hope it sees the light.

Paul Thomas Anderson has been working with Philip Seymour Hoffman for couple of years now. After movies like Sydney, Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Punch Drunk love. This is going to be one great combination for film.

The two of them will be combining for a film about a man who creates his own religion. Anderson is said to be planning to submit the finished script to Universal, who will decide whether or not they will greenlight it. This will be such a strain on the duo. Paul Thomas Anderson doesn’t have really great box office record to talk about.

The project will need atleast 35 million dollars to make. Hoffman will play man called The Master, a charismatic man who starts a faith based organization in the 1950s. He teams up with a twenty something drifter named Freddie who becomes his lieutenant until the kid finds himself questioning the faith he has gotten himself into to.

The drama does not so much scrutinize self started churches. But it explores the need for a higher power, the choice of which one to embrace and the point at which a belief system graduates into a religion.
