First Look: Win Win starring Paul Giamatti

The director of the Visitor seems to have found his footing once again.

It has not been so long since Tom McCarthy brought out the famous The Visitor film to the big screen. He really left an impression with many of the readers on our site. The film starred Talking Films favorite Richard Jenkins in a starring role. He will now be ready to release his next film in time for Sundance Film Festival. It will be called Win Win. He is known for his small films like The Station Agent and The Visitor. The two films were lauded with a lot of international acclaim.

Tom McCarthy seems to be quite excited about the new film. He went on a nationwide hunt to find the kid star in this film. Paul Giamatti plays an attorney and volunteer high school wrestling coach forced to look after a client’s errant grandson. The supporting cast includes Melanie Lynskey, Amy Ryan, Jeffrey Tambor and Bobby Cannavale. The indie music scene will also show their support with The National.

The film will be expected to release on March 25 th. Tom McCarthy had this to say about the film “I would almost rather risk being boring as a writer than feel I’m manipulating an audience. For 98% of our lives, we have boringness or stillness, and you can allow some of that in the movie.” Check out the clip above and tell us what you think about it.
