David Cronenberg to work on Knifeman for TV

Cronenberg gets ready for TV.

He will be teaming up with Media Rights Capital for a new telivision drama called knifeman. It is in line with his Dead Ringers. It is surely the kind of thing that will get David Cronenberg’s pulse going.

Knifeman centers on the trials and triumphs of a radical, self educated surgeon delivering a visceral portrait of the extraordinary and unorthodox lengths he will go to uncover the secrets of the human body.

The book is based on the Wendy Moore novel and it contains a biographical account about the surgeon John Hunter. David Cronenberg will be right at home after his work on A Dangerous Method.

Rolin Jones will be scripting the TV pilot and will be directed by David Cronenberg. Cosmopolis will be the next offering from the director starring Robert Pattinson, Sarah Gordon, Kevin Durand, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti and Mathieu Amalric. Tell us what you think of this recent development.
