Cillian Murphy in talks to join Amanda Seyfried

I'm.Mortal seems to be the next big film we will be looking forward to.

Amanda Seyfried is already signed on for this film. After a little while, we had Justin Timberlake jumping on board. There is news now that Cillian Murphy might also be a part of this film.

The film will be directed by the man behind Gattaca and Lord Of War. It has been quite a long time since he has made anything. He also has a film, which is almost done with most of its production work. So this new film comes as a welcome surprise. I’m.mortal looks like it is certainly a go now.

The film deals with the future where time has become the new currency. The rich are immortal, while the rest struggle to stay alive. When a rebel played by Timberlake from the ghetto is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage. Now the two of them are on the run from the system. They begin to discover love between them.

Cillian will play an officer known as a timekeeper. The film will being production in September. Cillian will probably play an antagonist, but nothing is really certain with Andrew Niccol. Here is a small synopsis via THR.

“The aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, and the rest try to negotiate for their immortality”.

This one looks like something that will stick and will go a long way. So it will be in our most anticipated films of this year.
