Walter Salles and Rivera will join to bring another story together. American Rust tells the story of two longtime friends from an economically depressed steel town in Penn whose dreams of escaping to California are dashed when they are implicated in a crime. The film will be an unflinching look at the so called American Dream. Stuber Productions optioned the book at Universal.
