Trailer watch: Sofia Coppola shines in Somewhere

Somewhere is for the people who need to leave their insolent souls and go to the coast.

This is just perfect. When you get Sofia Coppola working on a quasi sequel to her hugely appreciated film called Lost in Translation. The trailer for her new movie really works in several ways. She just came after her work on the beautiful Marie Antoinette. Now she works on several levels by using minimal dialog but basking in all the visuals in this film. The trailer made by Focus Features gets into a really nice mood and shows Stephen Dorff as a really good actor. Elle Fanning also comes of age and looks really heavenly. The story revolves around a bad boy A List actor stumbling through a life of excess while living at Hollywoods legendary Chateau Marmont Hotel. He has various days of feeling lonely, drinking, getting girls and driving fast cars. But his life sort of feels empty after all this. Johnny the bad A lister has lost himself in this indulgence.

But one day his 11 year old daughter Cleo turns up and unexpectedly shows him how to live and gets him back to who he was.

The film stars Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning. Check out the trailer above and tell us what you think.
