William Monahan will be penning Oblivion

Tron Legacy director gets a good writer for his pet project.

The film has been in talks for some time now. The moment the trailer for the sequel to Tron Legacy was out it got a lot of coverage. Oblivion has been a pet project for the director Joe Kosinski. It will be now written by William Mohahan. He is known for his work on movies like The Departed, Kingdom of Heaven and Body of Lies. He will also be making his directorial debut with London Boulevard.

He will be working on Oblivion also, which will be a magnum opus. The artwork for the film has been quite imaginary. The film will be moving forward quite fast with attachment of such a big screenwriter. Oblivion is a futuristic science fiction love story that takes place in a post apocalyptic future where most people live above the clouds.

An earthbound soldier who repairs drones that patrol and destroy a savage alien race discover a beautiful woman who crashed in a craft. They take an epic adventure that changes his world view. The film will be amazing if they don’t concentrate on the love too much.
