The trailer was supposed to be out today. There is a lot of people jumping around in the blogosphere. It is more like an event these days with any of Robert Downey Jr Films. He has carved a big niche in the industry in the last couple of years. Iron Man is one of the biggest thing that has happened to him akin to what Jack Sparrow is to Johnny Depp.
Iron Man 2 has been up to no good with several viral marketing snippets and also some interesting pictures that has come out recently. The trailer was supposed to be a part of the Avatar trailer list. The trailer also features the rest of the cast like Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Gwyneth Paltrow and Done Cheadle.
The trailer follows some of the footage that was already a part of the Comic Con. But it looks a lot of clean and it is easily going to be the biggest thing next summer. Iron Man 2 takes place 6 months from the previous film. He has already announced to the world that he is Iron Man. Mickey Rourke stars as a powerful new Russian villain named Whiplash.
The film is directed by Jon Favreau who also directed the previous one. The screenplay has been co written by Justin Theroux with some help from the director and Robert Downey Jr. The film will be released on May 7th 2010.
