In what could have been a taut, what-if scenario of a sudden nuclear attack with only minutes left for a countermeasure, the otherwise stacked cast and a propulsive first act can’t sustain their momentum to justify the movie’s three-perspective narrative angle.
Dune: Part Two surpasses even the highest expectations, establishing itself as an unquestionable technical masterpiece of blockbuster filmmaking.
This is a fun summer blockbuster film that is probably one of the best movies of the year but is not one of the best Mission: Impossible films.
