Jeff Nichols has been impressing everyone with his version of the Noah’s Arc in Take Shelter. The film stars Michael Shannon and Talking Films favourite Jessica Chastain. But after delivering a knock-out like that Jeff Nichols seems to be finding it difficult to get his casting right.
The new film is called Mud and he has cast Matthew McConaughey. The film has come out with its first look and not giving away too much. But there is a sense that Jeff might have had to sell himself short to get this film out. Read the story below.
The film is a drama centered on two teenage boys who encountered a fugitive and pact to help him escape from an island in the Mississippi. There is still chance to salvage something through this film with the presence of Sam Shephard. The film also stars Reese Witherspoon, Michael Shannon in a small role and Tye Sheridan.
