The Max Brooks book The World War Z is going to get an upgrade with the presence of Brad Pitt in the film. The film has several stories laces with a ten year war the ravages the whole of humanity. There is also quite a lot of zombies in the film and it is mostly grounded in reality.
Brad Pitt will be part of the star cast in the film adaptation of the book. Brooks said that he can’t believe how cool Paramount has been to me and these projects, and how cool Plan B has been, He got this news while he was at Comic Con.
The film will be scripted by J. Micheal Straczynski. Brooks also said they [Paramount] took their time, and are trying to make the best zombie movie they can. I am so glad they stayed with the project and so glad they found the right team.
So now the film will be produced by Pitt’s company called Plan B Entertainment. It is expected to hit theaters in 2012. There are going to be quite a lot of films releasing in the year. Brooks also said that Paramount has also optioned two more of his books. This great news for fans of the book.
