Trailer Watch: Norweigian Wood

Norwegian Wood is a good book that needs a great director to make it work.

This is for the fans of the writer Haruki Murakami. They are going to be really excited to hear that their favorite book Norwegian Wood will be getting a major adaptation. So the screen adaptation will also come under a lot of scrutiny.

There is not much given out in this trailer when it comes to plot. It is not a good thing or a bad thing. The reference to the Beatles tune is only there. It was probably difficult for them to get hold of the license for the song. So the music is playing throughout the film.

The film is directed by Tran Anh Hung. The question is whether this Vietnamese director has done justice to the Japanese novel.
