The state of things is quite bad in the last couple of years. There have been so many horrible Horror movies with really bad stories it is really hard to count now. The Japanese guys really worked on their horror for a little while, but with the advent of remakes from Hollywood they seem to have lost their way as well. Here is another example of a twisted way to highlight woman empowerment.
This film here I Spit on your Grave is another remake of a controversial film. It really showed abuse of all kinds and really sold itself on the name of all the carnage shown in that film. The new film just heightens up the violence a notch up and still looks ugly. We have gotten hold of the first trailer which really can’t be viewed if you’re not sane.
It is a totally uncompromising affair. The film might just become a hit for all you know. To redo something has been a really hard task for many young directors in Hollywood. They just lose out on the essence of things.
Here is an official synopsis.
