True Detective is an HBO original series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. When HBO gets a cast with those two names as the lead the expectations are extremely high. The early reviews coming in are really strong which makes this show a must watch when it premieres on Sunday, January 12th.
HBO has just released a new trailer and most likely the final trailer before the show premieres, which revolves around the lives of two detectives during a seventeen-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana. The show has an impressive supporting cast that includes Michelle Monaghan, Alexandra Daddario, Kevin Dunn, Elizabeth Reaser, Michael Potts, and Tory Kittles. We know the acting is going to be top notch, and so the question remains if the writing and story is good as well.
