Tilda Swinton who just off the film directed by Luca Guadagnino called I am Love, a Milan set social drama that has had a lukewarm experience with this film. Tilda is all set to make another film with the same director.
She has already worked with him in The Protagonists and The Love Factory. They both are all set to collaborate once again in Aunt Mame. “Luca and I have known each other for a very long time and we have a very compatible vision,” Swinton said. “We both like the idea of a pure cinema born out of a classical history of cinema; but truly modern.”
She went on describe her new film as Luchino Visconti on acid. But I think too much of acid is not really good for the stomach.
But on the role in I am Love where she plays a high society Russian accented Milanese dame. She said it was not that difficult to play because of her fractured view of the world. Her performance in the film is surely one of the highlights of the film. Luca also added that to work with Tilda is taste something totally fresh.
The film Aunt Mame will be given a rock and roll style treatment. They are planning to revive the film so that it can play in these times. Luca also talked about his film in production the much delayed remake of Dario Argento’s Suspiria, which will be directed by David Gordon Green.
