Matt Damon and Josh Brolin in True Grit Remake

Matt Damon and Josh Brolin in talks to star in Coen Brothers remake of 'True Grit'.

Matt Damon

Matt Damon and Josh Brolin are both in talks to sign on for Joel and Ethan Coen’s next film which is a remake of the classic film ‘True Grit‘.

Based on the re-adaptation of Charles Portis novel, Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin have all been attached to star in this film. The story revolves around a young girl who travels into some dangerous lands with two lawmen in search of an outlaw who murdered her father. The Lawmen will played by Bridges and Damon and Brolin will play the Outlaw hopefully. In the 1969 one, John Wayne got an oscar for this role as the US Marshall. I am guessing that Jeff Bridges will play that part.

The movie is set to go into production in spring 2010.
